Join singer-songwriter Jason McNiff and poet/singer-songwriter Gabriel Moreno for a bluesy presentation of poetry in music as they pay homage to the great General of song, Leonard Cohen. McNiff and Moreno will be performing a selection of compelling Cohen numbers plus a series of their own songs which pay tribute to Cohen’s magical formula of merging poetry with music.

Jason McNiff  is a British troubadour who has made eight albums rooted  in the Americana genre. There is an Englishness in his guitar playing however, and you might like to think of Jason as Bert Jansch meets Townes Van Zandt. His playing is inspired by the great finger style players such as Jansch, Mark Knopfler and John Fahey. He was described by MOJO Magazine as ‘One of the UK’s best secrets’ and by Janice Long on BBC Radio 2 as an ‘Immense talent’.
